Well that's it, markets closed for the weekend. It's now sitting at £10.95. You've all got the whole weekend to ponder "do I buy now...or will it drop further next week"

2004 1oz BU Kook, not very exciting but it completes my date run.

Having typed that I've just realised that I havent yet got the 2015, so not quite the full date run, but waiting untill end of the month to put in an order with STG, then I will have it.

The Australian government scrapped the 30% tax on mining profits today,  as the PM's fell the Australian mining sector made gains, that may have had downward pressure on gold and silver along with the fear of deflation in the EU, many are predicting a QE money printing program to be announced Thursday.

But none of that explains the way gold and silver fell off a cliff today, same old same old and yet again the regulators turn the other way.

£11.69 / $19.37  Nice price.  65.87 ratio of silver to gold.   Was thinking about getting some Gold but I might have to stick with silver for my next order.  £13.76 for maples on STG

I've been playing around with an inflation calculator.

    http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1633409/Historic-inflation-calculator-value-money-changed-1900.html

In July 1974. 40 years ago , Silver was sitting at £2.08 an oz. Today that figure with inflation would be about £19. With Silver at just over £12 an oz it is remarkably cheap now compared to 40 years ago

July 84 it was £5.53, today that would be £15.53

July 94 it was £3.45, today it would be £5.99

July 2004 it was £3.35 today it would be £4.49

If only I was stacking 10 years ago. .........Silver is almost three times more expensive today than it was 10 years ago.

If you were a long term stacker of say thirty or forty years worth of stacking, you'd have been better sticking your money under a matress. On the other hand if you started 10-20 years ago, you'd be sitting on a fortune, (providing you didn't buy at the silly heights of 2013)

Don't keep looking at spot, it took 3.6 billion of paper sales to bring it down, you will find that lower spot brings higher premiums , and or lack of stock . It's just a game at the moment, if I offered you spot for all your silver , where would you tell me to go ! Spot price has nothing to do with stacking

If you look at my early posts, I was exactly like you, worrying about every single pence spot price went up, and having the fear that spot price will double next day e.t.c,

Now 5 months in to it and talking to OLD and EXPERIENCED stackers (shout out to danny boy) you should not worry about the price dips or rise. When the price does escalate you will be happy that you bought some in the first place. I just order my monthly purchases and do not worry about the spot price, until a few days before I order, to see what I can buy with my hard earned money.

TLDR: Dont worry, Just Buy what you can, and Enjoy life.
