  2. Gold Ashrafi Coins – Mamluk Sultanate – Egypt – Gorgeous Historic Gold Coins! – £295 Posted Each – UK 🇬🇧 Eight gorgeous gold Ashrafi coins from the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt. The Mamluk Sultanate was a state that ruled Egypt as well as the Levant and the Hejaz from the middle of the 13th to the early 16th century. The Mamluk Sultanate was ruled by a military caste of Mamluks with the Mamluk Sultan as its head. Each of these beautiful gold Ashrafi coins is struck from approximately 3.4 grams of high purity (90%+) gold. Mamluk gold Ashrafis like these were conventionally struck to a weight of approximately 3.5 grams which was the same as that of the standard gold trade coin of the period, the Venetian Ducat (Zecchino). I recently posted and sold three of these Venetian Zecchino coins and have more available for sale. Coins such as these are generally of the highest purity. Available for sale here are four gold Mamluk Ashrams struck during the reign of Mamluk Sultan al-Zahir Jaqmaq (AH 842-857 / AD 1438-1453) and four struck during the reign of Mamluk Sultan al-Ashraf Barsbay (AH 825-841 / AD 1422-1438). I have provided photos of each coin individually on a scale. There is barely any fluctuation in weight between the coins in this lot, but feel free to pick and choose the coins that you like and let me know! Each coin is almost 600 years old and has a melt value of over £185. Price is £295 each including fully-insured postage to anywhere in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland! 🇬🇧 Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account, PayPal, and debit or credit card via my website. 🇺🇸 NOTE TO USA BUYERS: Price is $385 USD including fully-insured shipping to the United States! ✈️📦🇺🇸 Thank you! 🌟

  4. Ottoman Empire Rubiye Gold Coins – 1223 / Year 21 – AH1243 (1828) – Mahmud II – Stunning Examples! – £95 Posted Each – UK 🇬🇧 Each is 0.3 grams of .860 (86%) gold. Five absolutely stunning examples of this type! These coins are typically found pierced or otherwise badly impaired. The five examples available here are well-struck and boast flashy, minty fields. For those wondering how to work out the Gregorian date from the AH date, this is the convention... Add the regnal year to the coronation year and subtract one to obtain the AH date. In this case it is (1223 + 21) - 1 = AH1243. One can then convert the AH date to the Gregorian dare using a simple calendar convertor. Such tools are also useful for other calendar methods used in coin collection by the various dominions around the world. A great way to add some scarce 1800's gold to your collection, no less from the Ottoman Empire! Price is £95 including fully-insured postage to anywhere in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account. Thank you! 🌟

  11. 🇫🇷 France 5 Francs 1854-A (Paris) – Napoleon III – Reeded Edge – NGC MS65 A sublime example for this type and variety. Sharply struck, borderline proof-like, and most deserving of the gem uncirculated grade (MS65) assigned by NGC. Only seven in MS65 and four finer which reside in MS65+ and MS66 respectively, the latter of which marks top population for the type and variety and the only one to be auctioned achieving $2,160 USD (circa £1,700 GBP). NGC Cert # 6945691-004: https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/6945691-004/65/ Price is £890 including fully-insured delivery to anywhere in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. 12. 🇺🇸 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition Gold Token – 1/2 DWT 1909 – NGC MS63 – £290 Posted – UK An excellent example of this rare piece of American exonumia. Slabbed and graded by NGC at MS63. Struck from Alaskan gold and privately issued by M.E. Hart Co. of San Francisco for sale at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition world fair held in Seattle in 1909. The 1/2 DWT piece for sale here weighs approximately 0.775 grams and is comprised of 10 carat (.4167) gold. The 1 DWT ($1) could be bought at the event as part of a set containing 1/2 DWT ($0.50) and 1/4 DWT ($0.25) tokens for a total price of $2.50. The obverse boasts a prospector miner holding a pick over his right shoulder with a spade and pan in the background. The reverse features a lovely open wreath around a shield dividing the 1 DWT denomination. A superb piece! Price is £290 including fully-insured delivery to anywhere in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account. Thank you! 🌟
  13. ☭ USSR Soviet Union Gold 1 Chervonetz 10 Roubles 1975-ЛМД In the aftermath of the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, Lenin touted the boyish belief that gold’s only use would be in the manufacture of bathroom fixtures such as taps. It wouldn’t be long, however, before the Soviet Union minted its first Chervonetz gold trade coin in 1923. These first Chervonetz gold coins were minted at the Petrograd mint and are estimated to have been minted to a quantity of a little over 2.7 million. These early, original strikes, however, are scarce and fetch far higher premiums than their later 70s and 80s counterparts. Although there were around 6.6 million Chervonetz gold coins struck consecutively through 1975 to 1982, these pieces remained largely elusive and unseen in the global coin and collectibles markets until recently, with only around 730 of these issues being graded between both NGC and PCGS. A small hoard of these previously elusive pieces was uncovered, with many of the coins later being slabbed and graded by NGC and given the special label to emphasise the historical significance of this Chervonetz Gold Hoard! The example on display here was minted at the Leningrad Mint in 1975 while Leonid Brezhnev was President of the Soviet Union. The obverse features the national coat of arms of the Soviet Union with hammer and sickle before the rising sun on a document sheet flanked by barley ears. The reverse boasts a peasant farmer sowing seeds in a field before a plough. An industrial skyline and rising sun fill the background. An exceptional coin with the history to match. ☭ Замечательно! ☭ Coin is comprised of 8.6026 grams of .900 gold with an actual gold weight (AGW) of 7.7423 grams. Price is £590 including fully-insured delivery to anywhere in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account. Thank you! 🌟
  14. Austrian Empire 10 Corona Gold Coins – 1897 & 1906 – Franz Joseph I – £210 Posted Each – UK 🇬🇧 Each of these lovely 10 Corona gold coins is comprised of 3.3875 grams of .900 gold and has an actual gold weight (AGW) of 3.0488 grams. The melt value of each of these coins is £188. The diameter of these coins is 19 mm. A great way to obtain a 19th/20th century gold coin with significant history for a not too unreasonable premium above the spot price. Price is £210 each including fully-insured delivery to anywhere in the UK and Northern Ireland. Payment via bank transfer to UK business bank account. Thank you! 🌟
