Not looking for anything specific at the moment.
I haven't noticed these (dead ie not live) items before. I think that without a price i don't think i would really bother looking too much either really kills my impulse buying!

5oz of gold and all my regular series of silver coins and bars prob about 150oz of silver. My new off site storage i now have means the larger 1KG coins are now a viable option so whenever i can get the i'll snap some of then up too!

Royal Australian Mint, Perth Mint and Germania Mint would be a good start. Stay well clear of the royal mint huge premiums for substandard quality and poor design.

I would buy the £5 coin and sit on it. Then go for more bulk bullion or auction buys.

All my usual on-line retailers are out of stock. So some folk must have bought 'em all up.
@LawrenceChard might have missed the boat on this one. That boat has already left port and been involved in a strange boating accident!

One of the £20 for £20 coins by the rm did look a whole lot like a silver sovereign.
I think it was the first one in the series 2013.

IMHO i don't think that these errors are accidental in nature.
When an error is make it always makes headline news and the result is free publicity for the rm!

I still buy silver for collections and ongoing series that i like. I nolonger buy the 100oz+ bullion stacking silver every year that i would have though.
Maybe as a well known and trusted supplier @LawrenceChard sells a good number of bullion oz's but i do think that a swing has started to shift in favour of Gold / old numi coins.
I have a great liking for silver but i really can't see the new Stackers and collectors of the future that do research into precious metals thinking that silver is viable investment.

With ultra high premiums on silver and 20% TAX on silver in the UK has silver stacking become a thing of the past?

More of the same sub-standard work that some people have come to expect for the royal 'lazy' mint.
We really are in the lost years for the royal mint! Without proper significant investment in quality designers, production and quality it's hard to see a way back.

A recent @BackyardBullion you tube shows a new pre-release coloured coin  from @PowerCoin . An Italian outfit for Rome i believe. The coin imho is a good example of where modern mints are using Hi-tech to create some beautiful high-end coins and rounds.

So i've been staying over at one of my very best friends while my bathroom was having a refit. A gold stacker to be sure so i thought while i'm here i'll be useful.
So yesterday i found his hidden gold stack! in an old broken vaccum cleaner, wondering if i could fix it i came across about 15 Troy Oz of assorted bullion 9999 gold. So i cleaned it  out and put the gold free cleaner outside for the bin men.
On his return from work he passed the offending article in the street and didn't notice it. I decided to casually tell him over a beer that the cleaner had been picked up and taken away, but he noticed it had gone when he went to get a bottle of scotch out the cupboard. He went pale then very quiet. Realising he had lost quite a lot of bullion i sat him down and told him that the broken cleaner was gone and that he would have to find another hiding place for his Oz's. He finally realized i had indeed found it and i was holding a little bag with over £22,000 pounds of bullion in it.
Not even a little angry he went away a hide it somewhere else in the house and said i bet you can't find it now.
Thankfully my bathroom will be ready on saturday!

StackemHigh got a reaction from Kitalon in Purchasing proof gold coins. Is it really worth it?
The proof has a completly different finish to the bu coin! marks or dirt does't make them a bu coin just a devalued proof. There is a lot of value  sorry premium added to proofs over bu for various reasons but damage doesn't change the fact that it was made as a proof coin and will always will a proof coin no matter its condition.
We are in an age now where a FDC coin is the only proof coin worth having really is a most sucessful marketing ploy by the grading companies!
I've been buying a few coins i really like in the sub-standard PF69 range for a lot less than a PF70, breaking them out for my collection displays then if i get another then regrading and getting a PF70.
