  1. With the higher mintages and prices over the last sov releases (Maybe Spot price) has the rm played a blinder? With some stock being left over into a second day have the mint got the limited numbers spot on? and could this affect the flippers vast inflated profits. All we need now is a better rm website and a real quality control dept.
  2. Yes. Another great Kookaburra for the collection.
  3. I received some Perth Mint silver for my ongoing collections and the system was down. Luckily i was still about when they arrived and was able to take delivery. Where i am the royal mail is probably the best most reliable delivery company about. The collection office times are only a couple of hours in the morning which can make it difficult if you work.
  4. Charles. I thought there may have been a Latin version like the Georgius or Edwardvs coins! Charles just seems too English. If you get my meaning.
  5. With every grading there will be a free but very offensive malodorous smell that will quickly become synonymous with each and every CAC slab!
  6. I have a long history of NOT buying anything directly from the rm due to the host of problems i myself and countless other face when doing this. BUT Even for the rm I feel this is a blatant money grabbing exercise using the death of QEII is vulgar, offensive and tactless at the very least. I for sure won't be buying any even on the secondary market! I know for most it will just be another sovereign to collect or flip. Sorry @LawrenceChard but this is my interesting thought!
  7. I still like the old description "FDC" or Fleur de coin (Preserved in the best possible condition)
  8. Maybe we need a rm bashing section on the forum. It would be very, very popular!
  9. Again with the pobjoy mint altho Pt. I wanted info on the Noble. Fragmented and not really that helpful info to say the least.
  10. I'm still stacking 1911 sovereigns! Great prices if you know where to look.
  11. I thought that the obverse sides were written in latin?
  12. The poor designers at the rm would do well to copy anyone elses design @LawrenceChard as it's certainly better that they can come uo with.
  13. So after quite a while of collecting and stacking Pt earlier this evening i put £889.11 into my Pt spreadsheet and for the first time ever the little red number with the negative sign changed to a little black number without a negative sign. I must be doing something right!

    Storage

Be careful of which plastics used to store silver as some will speed up the tarnishing process.
  15. The problem is the mounts will devalue the coins. You will be looking around the edges for the slightest rub marks and the center of the coins to have a polished or clean look where they will have been rubbed by skin or coth.
  16. Can you see the kings beasts series soon?
  17. Germania Mint are a quality outfit but most are fantasy coins or rounds. They have produced some EUR coins on behalf of Malta. These are most certainly coins.
  18. IMHO do you feel that is acceptable? That is what matters. Yeh or neh? I don't use the rm anymore.
  19. I assume these are silver figures? I stopped buying stacking silver a long time ago. The position for that stopped in the UK a while back.
  20. All prices are set for items or services. By the people buying the items or services! Would @Chards be in business if people stopped paying chards their asking price? Of course not! @Chardsis charging what they think their market will accept. What the sellers want is a huge dose of FOMO so you will just pay what they want. The price of a house in an area will be set, the price of a tv will be set, the price of a bag of chips will be set and an oz of your favorite precious metal will be set! Is it rigged? Yes but by you as you are the one paying the set price. I have a long list of gold coins many of which are freely available at a price i just won't go to, Will i ever buy them? Yes, but only when i think the price point is right! I don't buy on availability and i know spot price is a made up number. I believe that spot price is a made up sum of money that a big cabal of financial institutions and the powerful families want to conduct their business at and not at the real value of the precious metal. Diamond price is fixed/inflated by the powerful too. If all the mined diamonds that have been mined hit the market all at once coal would be more expensive! If anyone thinks that all the gold and precious metals that is produced is sold then i would call them out. Once a certain level of profit is made the rest will be stored to "protect the investment" and sold on to a shell company for storage to be sold on at a later date when more profit can be made.
  21. It's a good day indeed when somebody listens, It is a shame that it only happens when you shout loud enough or on a forum such as this one.
  22. I'm Not surprised you had a fight, I would like to know why you would spray a coin or bar with sap from a pine tree to make then taste "minty", Lawrence @LawrenceChardwhat does it mean anyway?
