  1. The listing reads Authenticity unknown, non magnetic hence sold as seen Seems like he is playing dumb ! .......and he still has 100% positive feedback !
  2. Hello! Welcome to the forum. You are in the right place that offers shiny-itis treatments. Very soon your magnetic personality will come shinning through ! 🤗
  3. Do you not like having a variety of sovereigns ? Do you not find modern sovereigns (post 2000) looks like copper pennies ? ...and why stick with a stockist when there are plenty of established, reputable dealers around the UK.
  4. What, the Royal Mint are getting their staff to mint coins from home !? 😅
  5. So why has the price of gold gone up so much in recent months !? The chart says it all really. But at least it rebounded up 0.06% in the last few minutes 😁
  6. How many of those can you get in a tube ? 😁
  7. Imagine when "robbers" all go into the bank at the same time, they will still need to queue up and take turn to rob the bank of their own cash. 😅
  8. Didn't banks in Cyprus closed over a weekend in 2015 and didn't re-open for several weeks ? Cash withdrawals were restricted and those accounts with €100k + deposit were frozen. There were long queues as people tried to take their money out. Some depositors were given a hair cut, effectively a bail-in. So I wouldn't bet on it.
  9. I did wondered where Wonga went ! Tai Wong aka Wonga !! 😂
  10. I took me a long time to convince myself to buy my first ounce of Pt earlier in the month. I have been toying with the idea of buying a Pt coin just to see what it is like but had ended up buying either a half ounce AU or a kilo Ag instead. There were two reasons why I have shyed away from Pt. One being it looks like silver and secondly it has never been a monetary metal. But when the price of Pt dropped to half the price of AU, I decided it was a good time to buy one. It was a toss-up between getting a 1oz Britannia or 1oz Pamp Fortuna or 1oz Philharmonic. These had the lowest premium at around 10% (and no VAT where I am). In the end, I opted for the Britannia b/c I like the design. Now in hand, I can see and feel that it is indeed a denser metal. It looks like silver and feels different. On the plus side, it won't tarnish nor milkspot anytime soon 😊 The price of Pt has gone up by a 10% since I bought. If it comes back down again, I might get a couple more ounces.
  11. Hello! Welcome to the forum.
  12. Storage and shipping 'within 3 months' - for an extra £460 (approx) ! 😅
  13. 1957 Gillick Sovereign £845 How is this for a bargain from the Royal Mint 😆 Who buys them !!!!?
  14. I had to search what a spinner ring looks like and found this YT video. Quite a nice piece of art but requires a few specialist tools & equipment though.
  15. The US Mint produces millions of these ASE per year. Perhaps the mint die used to strike the 2018 coin had worn out so details aren't as crisp. But it is still a 1oz silver bullion coin and is worth the going market value for ASEs.
  16. You could have asked them for the price in USD and do the conversion into GBP yourself and compare. I suspect the sales person quoted you the wrong price. I normally fly direct from London to the Far East. Though I seem to remember stopping at Doha a couple of times many years ago when connecting flights were much cheaper than direct flights. It was a good money saving option when travelling in the family group. I can't really comment on the food at Doha airport, but the price of food in general are more expensive in airports wherever you go. Which is why you should ask for extra portions on the flight if you're still hungry ! 😁

    Selling gold

Why not show them off on here and see if there are any takers first.
  18. Not buying much. Boat full to capacity. Afraid of yet another tragic boating accident ! 🙄
  19. The 2022 Britannia design, whether it be silver or gold bullion release, is the same as 2021. So nothing special and unlikely to gain extra premium over time.
  20. Hello! Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you already have a nice selection of silver bullion coins. 👍 Nevermind about being classed as a stacker or collector. A silver bug will do nicely. 🤗
  21. Hello! Welcome to the forum.
  22. I doubt he mis-spoke. There is another example where a Russian legislator, Vladimir Zhironofsky saying something about an upcoming date, that is very relevant to this. Months before Russia began it’s Special Military Operation, he took to the floor of the Russian Duma and said, “On February 22, the world will see Russia’s power.” That date subsequently turned out to be 24th February – two days later – when Russia entered Ukraine for its Special Military Operation. The point of this comparison is that legislators sometimes get dates slightly wrong or dates may change for one reason or another. As he speaks the date, 24 September 2022, there is an audible surprise and grumbling of the audience. So some of them might know what's in the pipeline. We shall have to wait and see.
  23. Hello! Welcome to the forum. There are plenty of knowledgeable collectors and stackers on the forum. If you are new to precious metals, then I'm sure members on the forum should be able to help on your journey.
