Of course, my answer was instantly:

But now YOU KNOW EXACTLY THEY ARE FAKES!!!
Adding a note there that you don't know if are genuine or fakes will not help. Your description is the same, as being gold. I have already screenshots with your description, also our messages are evidences when you will be prosecuted.
Bear in mind that you have already bids on your fake chinese unknown metal rounds!
Do what is right and don't foul innocent people!

    Hi.
Your answer is showing me that you know exactly what you are doing.
You haven't mentioned in your advert that are chinese copies. You said in the item description that it is GOLD!!!

I have reported you accordingly to Ebay selling team!
If your fake coins will not be removed today, I will bid and win this lot and I will make you pay thousands chasing you with police and courts for selling fakes as genuine gold coins!
    Absolutely disgusted,
    Stefan!

ChrisSilver reacted to beacon in Genuine British Sovereign and Bolivian Gold?
Saw these two for spot price at a pawn shop here in Colombia. Might pick them up.
One is a British Sovereign. The other (after researching), is a Bolivia "7 Gramos 1952 Revolution" round (.900 purity).
The shop also had a Colombia "Cinco Pesos Stonecutter" (the one with the miner chiseling). That one is the same as the weight and fineness as a British Sovereign. Did not take a photo of that one because I'm 100% certain that one was legit.
Between the Colombia Cinco Pesos and the British Sovereign, wonder which one would be more desirable. Wish I could buy all three, but budget wise I can only buy two for now (assuming they are genuine).
Any red flags these two below might not be genuine gold? I've heard lots of fake Sovereigns are around. Thanks in advance.

A really interesting topic. My understanding is that banks have to, by law (anti money laundering and funding of terrorism), check to ensure that the outflow of funds are, to the best of their knowledge, used for legal purposes. All financial institutions do. To avoid mandatory checks (transactions over £2,000) from memory, the bad guys are making multiple transactions. Look where an ounce of gold sits in the £0 to £2,000 band.
I agree that it is wise to have more than one funded account and an earlier poster mentioned that his account was blocked because he had forgotten his telephone pin. I experienced that too. My solution was to create a password protected spreadsheet which, in turn, is encrypted (very easy, no real technical knowledge needed). In the spreadsheet was a list of every financial account I have e.g. bank accounts RM, property deeds, works pension funds, images of my Will, premium bonds, insurance,  National Lottery, SIPP, ISA, etc together with URL, account numbers, passwords, memorable information, PINs, safe combination and so on.
The spreadsheet was emailed to my better half and downloaded onto her computer, backed up and the email permanently deleted. She then has the password should it ever be required. Simple to set up. Simple to maintain. Effective.

When I called (about 5 times) to ask when they were lifting the block. I said it's not acceptable that they said 3 days and it's been longer. So the operator said "would you like to put a complaint forward?" I said yes. She said someone would call separately to deal with the complaint. They then called yesterday, when I was having cocktails with the girls in Leeds, so I couldn't be bothered answering. Then the money just appeared in the account!

Re Heritage auctions. They charge a buyer and seller’s premium and consigners can negotiate based on expected sale levels. Some people will have a share of the buyers commission and no sellers commission. The price stated by Paul with the conversion rate is the *total price* paid by the buyer - so the consigner will get a lot less and has lost out a lot more if they bought at RRP. Heritage will take the majority of the premium.
How do I know? I have consigned with Heritage a bit and have had similar agreements in the past.

    1. If you are not running the latest version of your phone operating system please update and see if that helps.
    2. Please clear your browsers cache (website data and cookies) there could possibly be badly cached pages from some websites that are causing it to crash.

Unless your phone is old or there is some internal damage there should not be any issues opening TSF after doing the above. You can try using another browser on your mobile to see if this helps, as some small group of users on older devices have found that switching to another browser fixes any issues they were having.

Sorry to hear about your issues with your bank and that it is taking them so long to resolve.

The problem with high street banks IMO is that fraud is so prevalent they are overly cautious. They are so overly cautious that they block a large % of perfectly genuinely transactions, and though blocking fraud transactions does help to protect customers as well as the banks ultimately it can lead to large inconveniences, particularly when blocking genuine transactions, such as the one that you have experienced.

I had a credit card from one of the large high street banks and it was declined whilst abroad, calling in from abroad and waiting hours is not convenient for the end user. There are some advantages for paid premium accounts such as a dedicated telephone line but in the end I believe that the online only challenger banks are the best way to go. If needed, transactions can just be confirmed from within the app itself by FaceID, Touch ID etc (or similar biometrics) this is much easier for the end user.

Any of these could be good to open: Monzo (the best app interface of any UK bank and the easiest to use IMO), Starling, Revolute.

Monzo and Starling the best IMO for whilst abroad, they both offer 0% foreign transactions fees 7 days a week with no mark up over the Mastercard rates. Starling has unlimited 0% cash withdrawals whilst abroad (but for day to day use I do recommend Monzo for their better app interface, so can even get both)

There are also other online challenger banks such as Chase, and Virgin, these are also worth considering they both have 0% foreign exchange fees on purchases. Virgin also offers unlimited 0% cash withdrawals whilst abroad with no requirements.

Item: Collectible Original Soviet Union Poster printed in 1963. This item was purchased from a friend who is one of the largest specialist art dealers that specialise in Original Soviet Union posters from Russia and former Soviet Union countries, I therefore have no doubts about the authenticity and age of this item.
    1964 edition
    Size 60 x 40 cm

Condition notes: Extremely good to excellent condition especially considering it's age, expect some very minor wear / fade as with any poster from this period.

Price: WITHDRAWN from sale £ + Royal Mail Special Delivery cost (I would need to find out the cost to post). Slight offers may be considered, although I have priced this very fairly. Will be dispatched in a plastic hard poster tube case opposed to cardboard, for optimal protection during transit.

    Item Location: UK

Shipping destinations: Shipping to UK only due to being a fragile item.

Payment Terms: Payment by bank transfer in GBP only

Dispatch Time: Can dispatch anytime (Monday 12th June 2023 to Thursday 15th June 2023, upon cleared payment. If purchased afterwards please confirm with me prior to payment on the dispatch time.

ChrisSilver got a reaction from Gordy in Sales Ticket Format?
I would not suggest to do this, it over complicates things and turns it into an Argos 😄 (for those outside of the UK, Argos is a shop that you order from a catalogue in store and you collect from the counter when they call your ticket number with an announcement "Ticket number X to collection point B please") it would also be more complicated for you to work through.

A more simple system would simply be to state in your sales topic something like "Priority given to those who comment in this topic first with the item they are interested in. Pease state the item you are looking to purchase here first and then send a PM, this is to help me fairly organise the sale of my items as I have so many to sell"

Then you easily have a time stamped, and in chronological order, list of members who wish to buy each item. Everything was in the listing and clear.

From personal sales I have found that those who comment in the trade topic first, even if just saying something like "PM sent" have made it easier to keep track of who private messaged first without needing to check the time stamps, just look ate the order of which the comment was made and deal with that request first before moving onto the next. TBH this is all that is probably needed, just a comment to say PM incoming or something TBH. (effectively this is like your 'ticket' system) If you wish to do this method then you can just simply state "Priority given to those who comment in this topic first before sending PM. Please comment and send PM"

Either of those options would be helpful IMO, depending on how many items you are listing in each topic you may find either of them more useful than the other. Would likely also be easier having in one large topic rather than breaking down every single coin into a separate topic, more work to close each topic especially if you have hundreds of coins for sale.
    Hope that helps
