You don’t get volume certainly, but you can still find deals. Picked up 4 sterling commemorative crowns last week from a charity shop for £5 each. Metal value just over £11 each. Few weeks ago grabbed two sterling spoons 10gm each for £3 as part of a plated set.

I would look at their debt, because that's going to be the issue with every business soon. People are always focused on P/E, but when the bear starts and earnings go south, it'll be the amount of debt that decides who lives and who dies.

With the advent of the internet the likelihood of finding anything worthwhile at charity shops, car boots etc, has dropped considerably. Bring back the good old days when you needed some knowledge to make a profit.

The company went above and beyond for me. I feel that a couple of people receiving poor customer service should not right them off.

First rule of buying silver and gold. Your hard earned money in your wallet, and your own loyalty belong to you and you alone. Stack it to YOUR benefit and nobody else's. Shop around weighing up the unit prices and shipping (if applicable), then see which dealer does it cheaper. At the moment, that is definitely European dealers such as gs.be and European Mint. If you can pit dealers against one another to get the best deal FOR YOU, then do it. Also get involved in the forum group buys if you feel the price is good for YOU. That's who you then give your money to. Don't forget to always do your OWN research so YOU can understand what's going on to ensure YOU get the best deal for YOU. If you think a deal isn't good for YOU, walk away. Decide what price you are prepared to pay per ounce or per gram and make sure you have the discipline to STICK TO IT. Do not get sucked in to any ebay bidding wars that takes you over that pre set amount you are prepared to pay. Ego and vanity will ensure you fail. Discipline will ensure you only WIN. Remember, this is YOUR future you are investing in. Treat it like you are fighting in a war.

Lovely coins and I hate you But I take comfort from the fact that YES, you will now start a collection and your nights will never be the same again. Tell your missus to prepare and freeze your meals because you are now busy. Cancel the Netflix subscription, you will never watch it again. Get a beer fridge. It takes 11 and a half seconds to go in the kitchen and get a bottle, I know I've timed it. You will miss a deal in those precious moments. Teach your dog how to refresh the page. Doomed I tell thee ps. these are low mintage. PM me if you need the numbers.

    Can a sovereign go rusty?

Hi are you sure its a sovereign ? I know they used to put the kings head on some of these old sovereign holders for decoration. The coin does not look right to me. I would want to make sure its real

The official HMRC line on crypto is that its taxed the same as any other assets. So capital gains tax rules apply on profits made from holding cryptos, which is nice and simple. There is a complication that the tax is calculated when you change from one asset to another, so if one sells Bitcoin for Ethereum that counts as a taxable event, not only trading Bitcoin to £. HMRC doesn't care where the tax event occurred, so if its on an exchange in UK, Europe, US, Singapore, tax is the due if you are resident in the UK. Upshot of this is trades through a Isle of Man exchange are going to attract CGT if you are in the UK. The method to avoid tax is for the assets to be owned through an offshore shell company, then tax is applied under that jurisdiction and you only pay tax to HMRC when bringing profit back onshore. (not professional tax advice of course, just view from research on the subject for months.)

A Richie Allen interview uploaded today with a woman who believes her baby died due to vaccines. Rather long but quite shocking. More corruption - more lies - more lives destroyed. A real gem. i asked in this thread if there was any evidence the Gardasil vaccine had prevented a single case of cervical cancer, had it saved a single life - knowing it hadn't. Here Dr andrew Wakefield struck off with the GMC for questioning whether the MMR caused autism tell of the confession from a doctor at the US CDC that they have known for 20 years it causes autism. He calls the Gardasil vaccine 'a commercial scam' and states that there is no evidence it has helped anyone.

Hello, received three coins in the post today. One is the 1931 Perth Mint sovereign. 1931 was the last of sovereign produced by the Perth Mint as a British branch mint. It's not a rare coin but have wanted to get one as the first sovereign I ever bought was the 1899 Perth sovereign which was the first produced by the Perth mint. So now have the first and last! Also received a 2015 Indian bullion sovereign and the 2014 half sovereign.
