    🎅 Christmas Prize Draw 🎅

Today I received my raffle prize. Little did I know that an entire .925 and .999 silver stash would come through the door. @Jimmock you have completely outdone yourself. I’m completely chuffed! .925 Victoria Medals £20 .999 of an even longer reigning monarch .925 Australian sixpence my first ASE the very nice rectangular bar and a nice swastika coin – good that some cultures still can embrace the overwhelmingly positive aspect of this ancient symbol. Thank you again @Jimmock you really made my day! Could you all please like Jimmock’s post if you like what you see here? I think he deserves some extra likes!

Long story short, I now have a 2017 proof 7 coin set without a coa and a 2019 proof 7coin set with a coa after a 2 and a half year wait. The 2019 set was sent free shipping as an apology for there being no coa with the 2017 set.

Hello fellow SilverForum members, Have uploaded a new video about the Royal Mint Gold VIP tour that Mrs Coin Struck and i were lucky enough to do back in September. It was a great day seeing the factory floor, archive, museum and lots of amazing and rare coins. RM designer Jody Clark provided a presentation that day and we were able to get him to kindly sign the COA for my "strike your own sovereign" and our 50p Sherlock Holmes. Here is the link to my channel. I hope you take a look and enjoy. As always it would be great to hear what you think. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC32DEmDzkaZCBTBVTDiYr0A Thanks for reading. 2020 Una and the Lion

A new teaser video by the Royal Mint is up. It seems rather random that they would do this iconic design for 2020. I’d have thought they would save something special like this for HM’s platinum jubilee which is literally 2 years away.

    Carded Gold Bar Storage Idea

Had an idea thought others may find useful. I like carded gold bars as they are fairly liquid and a good way to stack small amounts of fine gold. Like most on the forum alway looking for interesting ways to store these, and was considering boxes. While rummaging in the office came across this old card wallet and decided to give it a try. Must admit I like the way I can see the bars and it’s fairly compact and discreet. most cards seem like to fit fine.

    How to clean Gold

Hello guys, since we had a thread where a member asked if grading makes sense, i told him to clean the coin before. Since noone knew the trick with aluminium foil, salt and water, i promised to show a video about that. I used 2 very damaged liberty 2017 1 oz gold coins. The first coin had a really huge red dot which looked like a hole. The second one was scratched horrible. Im not an expert in creating videos and i made it at home with my mobile phone, but i am sure you will like the result. Most of the time scratched and red dotted coins (as BU) get PR69-70 DCAM gradings (even when they are not PROOF). The video can be found on https://www.rosland.link/videos/gold-oxidation-entfernen/ because it's too big to post it n the forum. (500mb~). Attached is the picture BEFORE cleaning. and this was after cleaning.. The very big red dot(s) are almost not visible anymore. It may take 1-2 more attempts until get them removed by 100%. The other coin looks great. There are no more scratches on the coins. It's just from the camera/salt which need be cleaned. Edit: If the red dots are not fully removed, you can also use a very hot lighter. Gold has a diferrent melt temperature and will not be affected at all. The red dots will be burned out and you wont see any damaged spots.

Each person gets another member picked out of a hat (or with some modern technological wizardry) to send to. So it's very unlikely that two people will be sending each other pressies. E.g. you are person A. You draw person C and send gift to Person C. Person B draws person A and sends to them Person C draws person Z and sends to them Etc etc. Eventually everyone will get a gift from someone and send a gift to another someone.

Been reading that the press have known much worse stuff about Randy for decades (will be pretty obvious to some here), but obviously couldn't publish. Now I know a little bit about Hislop and he does very well out of his establishment gig, thank you very much indeed,.Private Eye cover from 2011: https://www.private-eye.co.uk/issue-1477/covers/cover-1284 This Epstein nonsense has been dragging on all year, so my question is: 'why would the Queen's favourite choose NOW to so spectacularly shoot himself in the foot?'. The Succession ritual is a huge part of it I'm sure, it must be for Queenie to let son number 1 face such flak. We also concurrently face (imo) the ultimate democratic crisis, that this is only deflecting from. Namely that we face a supposedly 'one issue' election, where every conceivable outcome can only be Remain/Remoan in all but name. The best magicians make you look exactly where they want you to look... 'Which way do you prefer your kipper to be stitched up, sir?' <edit> All roads lead to Rome.
