2017 Sovereign Proof: Certify Code

I've noticed that there are 2017 200th Anniversary gold proof full sovereigns for sale that include a "certify code" for an additional premium above and beyond the premium of the same coin advertised without this code (as an example London Coin Company: this coin is listed for £100 more with a certify code).

As far as I can tell this code was only used to certify yourself with the Royal Mint as an owner for inclusion in an upcoming book, but the deadline for using this code was 1 April 2017.

I don't see the rationale for an additional premium at this point...it would seem that all coins sold should have come with this code, and even if the code was not used, it is no longer useful at this point. Is there something I'm missing as to why there would be an additional premium for a certify code?

Maybe send them an email and ask why they're trying to sell a coin with a code that is no more use as an ashtray on a motorbike

No point what so ever, if you didn't realise, the Londoncoin company are exclusive rip offs of the royal mint and mostly everything is ridiculously overpriced. Maybe send them an email and ask why they're trying to sell a coin with a code that is no more use as an ashtray on a motorbike

Thank you. I'm newer to collecting, and have have no experience with this company. Given their inventory and positive reviews, it made me think I might be missing something about the value of this expired code, and I was of course better served asking you than them!
