I will definitely buy one, and any number is fine with me.

I think it's a great idea to give right of first refusal on specific numbers for future years in the 100 gram bars as you've indicated you will do for the 1 oz bars.  I guess I would also see it as understandable (but sad for me at #155 :(), if you wanted offer that for the right for the first 100 who went for your 1 oz bars, since they were the first to commit to your product.

Just a thought on the matter of serial numbers. Why not carry the number on? If you stopped this years 1oz at number 170, start next years 1oz at 171. I think the idea of you still doing this in 6-7 years and going into 4 digit serials would be cool cause most that bought the first bar will have 2 digit serial bars. Food for thought :)

You can also put me down for a 100g bar when the time comes.

Make new friends but keep the old.

I like your idea but I personally think that having them as new serial numbers is more the way I want to go with the series. I would love it to have a set and collection of these over time with the same numbers etc.

If I ever get to be big enough and popular enough that I am making 1000's of pieces then we can see about an ongoing serial number piece perhaps from my own stock of pours!

@BackyardBullion

The idea of owning the same number each year is a nice thought and because you stamp the year, starting fresh each year makes no difference. I would assume that if the forum was to explode in member numbers and you were ever doing 1000+ bars, members would be given a grace period to get the same numbers meaning people who bought the 1st bar will always get low numbers.

I guess your right and ongoing numbers would be better if you were doing larger volume. I bet you have a million ideas rolling around.

Well the plan is if this becomes a sustainable hobby/business then I would look to scale back the day job to give me a little more BYB time during the week rather than simply on all of my free time!

When you find something you love and can turn it into a "job" then that is really something special - also it wont feel like a "job" either, which is amazing!

Thats the way matched betting and arbing feels to me :) Spare time is best for what it is, could not do it full time. The pressure of having to make money would kill some of the joy. You passion has nice streams to build on and grow, your website and youtube channel comming to mind. I think you'll get there, just gotta keep grinding it out buddy :)

Its 100% easier when its something you love, its like free money :wub:

BYB

will I have first pick on my bar numbers for the 100gm - I got #'s 71 and 89 in the oz size.

LMK

Thanks

Looking likely that we will have a general release date then it is first come first served for what numbers you want to reserve. We want to be fair to everyone who wants one including those who originally got a number higher than the proposed mintage of 100 bars.

We will publicise this in more detail in time and try and make it as fair as possible to everyone involved in multiple time zones.
