Eyup from an Englishman in Spain! 

I'm pretty new to all this, but obviously there've been more than enough nailbiting turns of events in world politics lately to get even the laziest and most complacent of us wondering about ways to secure our wealth, modest as it might be, so here I am to learn off the more practised hands.  

A friend got me into Goldmoney a few months ago, back in the December dip, and since then I've been looking into getting my hands on some real physical precious metal. More for peace of mind than anything else. I'm interested in how to go about this both in Spain and back home in England. The North American metals scene naturally dominates the web from sheer force of numbers, not to mention the general tradition over there of self-reliance and independence from the State, so it's not always so easy to find Europe-specific info, but I see just from a glance at the Intros Forum we have a respectable contingent of Brits around here.

Hi and welcome. Very easy to get gold and silver by courier from/to any eu countries. Bit of a bugger buying from uk companies when it's silver as you get whacked for full vat. German, Belgean and Estonian companies appear to be generally the cheapest/best. Silvertogo, gold-silver.be are a very good start. You generally have to make a decent order for example a tube of Britannias minimum to reduce the impact of postage costs. That said, stacking should be on a longer term basis and buying a set cash amount on a regular basis will even out the highs and lows of spot price and postage costs.

Welcome mate. I've used STG in the past a few times and had no issues! I'm sure they'll deliver to Spain to but probably best to have some in Spain and some in UK well hidden obviously! ;-)
