That reminds me. My daughter was born just two months before Princess Charlotte and yup, you guessed it.......2015 cost me a fortune......

birth coin, christening coin proofs, 2015 4th and 5th portrait gold sov proofs (very very rare event to have two different portraits on a sovereign coin in the same year)

Some info

What I think is maybe give them something which is likely to go up in value , fast , for example the South Africa proof

best education isn't ? Earn money to buy some sweets or Coca Cola

My eldest daughter is 32 this year!:P

I did give my kids a proof sovereign of their birthyear a few years ago and was glad none of them were born in 1989:D

Just missed it, son born in 1988 and luckily all the years' coins are worth the same, or I'd have caused some sibling rivalry and received it in the ear for my trouble!

You forgot one more son , me here

I born 1937 , I aren't that greedy and  I have a good solution for you which will Save you money . I only want the 1937 coin buried under Westminster abbey church , free to dig

When I'm asked wot I want for xmas by my other half, I always say gold and silver lol.  I've had 2 half sovs, a full sov, a tiny elephant coin and lots of silver.  I'm a lucky girl ?

I also by the kids coins.  Sovs every yr, a peter rabbit and some xmas coins.  The youngest 2 love em, the older 1 not too much. As meatloaf would say '2 out of 3 ain't bad' ?
