I'm thinking it's more an Apmex/US priority thing as Apmex like to steal a march on the competition, i also heard that Apmex sold Auragentum some Swans and bought them back at a profit for Auragentum without even sending them, so there might be a little tie up with the 10oz bullion as a little part of that deal

Due to fluctuations in spot?

Just curious to know if anyone has bought or is looking to buy the 10oz silver Beast.

Comparing prices just now the Royal Mint is asking £234 including VAT ;    STG £183 ;   and Aurinum approx £167 depending on the Euro exchange.

Pre-ordered one through STG but GS.be had them a bit cheaper.

Just spotted that /.be asking €186.46 vs Aurinum €195.79
Typical but what the heck !!

I have bought and received mine.  You can look at the today I received posts.  I'm in the USA - and got mine from JM bullion. They are selling for $198 US.

Just as I thought - always cheaper in the USA.
Kind of sucks when you add the shipping from the UK and the margin of the dealer and it still smashes the best price from the Mint direct even before the 20% VAT is added.

Be on the lookout for ms70 graded first day of issue - one of the big boys submitted 150 - with 28 grading ms70- the others all ms69 by ngc.

so far a 19% ms70 grade rate for these coins at ngc. Really good if you ask me considering the quality issues of the Royal mint.  The capsule they came in really have made the difference.

It's good enough for me )) good value and great presence. I will try to get one of each as they come out.

They do look impressive. After three weeks my order was finally dispatched for delivery next week.

Do you plan on grading yours?

I plan to just keep them in the capsule. Maybe in the future. I will treat them like lunar 10oz

I'm considering buying a 10oz Lion bit concerned about milk spots as I want it for the design (the big design) rather than stacking. Not heard anything about milk spotting yet mind so may take the plunge.

I'm exactly the same.  Especially with the next 2 on the cards already

Yes - that was mine- ms69 early releases - beautiful coin until I opened it last month to see spotting - I had inspected it under a 40x microscope attached to my computer - no indication what so ever of anything wrong on the surface of the coin - before I sent it in to ngc.

This is the reason I will never again buy any silver coins as numismatic  items - a quick flip maybe - but never for the long term - I am a firm believer that all silver whether slabed - encapsulated - Sealed in air tight bags/ vacuum sealed, etc will eventually develop some sort of tarnish or problem - it all goes to the reactive nature of silver itself- and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

I hate milk spots
