Coins confirmed as real:) they did not use an XRF, but have highly accurate scales - they were happy to buy them outright or loan on them there and then so that's good enough for me. We have debated selling two and keeping two, but have decided that they are really nice condition and will be good to keep as coins for a rainy day fund so going to keep them all. finding 4 sovereigns on ST Georges day of all days just seems like it was meant to be.

Thanks for the advice everyone, kept me sane whilst waiting!

Very nice, and I too would feel a little guilty and would try to find them and give them another £100?

The nearest I have every come with a car boot is, brought a guitar for £7, sold it the same evening for £45, the next day I spied a bass, with case offered £45 and got it. Sold the bass for £225 and still have the case which is £100.

nice find.

I would not feel guilty but would find them to give them

the £100 that was suggested. my understanding is it

would then close the books on that deal as agreed by

both parties. you took the risk so are not ripping them

off. think of it like buying risky stocks at a cheap price

and then selling them should they recover. you reap

what you sow and it works both ways.
