Hello @Jay2,

It's rare to see .999 silver jewellery, as silver is quite a soft metal in relative terms. Its normally alloyed with copper to form an alloy called sterling silver. The alloy consists of 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper/other metals. Its alloyed to increase it's mechanical properties, makes it stronger and more ductile.
