why silver grain

Recommended Posts

Just browsing the silver and gold bullion stores online, when i noticed on the gold bullion companys website you can buy 1KG of silver grain. Does anyone on here have any and if so what would be the point/advantage of buying this over say silver bars or coins. I have to say it would not be nearly as much fun to look at.

Those weight 0.32399g or about 100th of an ounce. If spot price ever gets to £100 an ounce those would be worth about £1

Premiums on those seem huge as they are being sold for £1.50 each and spot is at £12.40

No helping hands, what i was refering to is a 1kg bag of silver grain. I dare not think how small those 1 grain bars must be.

Also known as 'shot', yes is used for melting, here in oz  GST or VAT is payable on it as its not stamped 999.

Small bits melt easier in the furnace so you dont have to run it as long.

Useless unless you are planning to melt it and make it into bars or coins.

Gold also comes as shot.
