The Royal Mint WW11 Silver coins

Morning all

just taken delivery of the first in the series of five silver coins made from the recovered WW2 silver from the sea bed off Ireland, has anyone else looked into the full set at all? The first coin was £20 for £20 but the rest are £49 each for 1/2 silver coin, I know they're collectors rather than bullion but I feel inclined to purchase the whole set and gold coin too! They have me! Just wondered if anyone else is thinking of collecting these?

all the best

How much does the coin weigh?

I dislike many of the RM coins, they are just way overpriced, usually overminted, and definitely not worth the value stamped on them.

That being said, it is a nice coin.

I think  the silver would be worth more in its 'as found' condition

It's half ounce and costs £20. But the others are the same, however costing £49 each and 20000 mintage. So kind of agree with the others that they are over minted and have a high price for them.

I think they probably would have got more for the silver in found condition, a shame really
