I was looking at all the coins both Silver and gold I'm sending into NGC and I wondered what everyone else is sending in this year? Mine are mostly Panda, Lunar, Mongolia and 1900 Gold pieces... I figured this could be a fun thread...6717ff271e24cece59be684c57ad927d.jpg

@mongo28 what is on the other side of your Mongolian silver coins? Always liked the gold ones but haven't seen in silver

Pig, rat and Dog... All based on the Lunar calendar... I'm sending in the 1/25 oz gold versions of the Mongolian Rat and Pig, and one is a rare matte version.

They are hard to find, I found all of these from one seller in Missouri... The 1/25oz Gold ones I actually ordered from Poland... And yes I search weekly to see if anything new becomes available.

Only CGS or now known as LCGS and they want £500 up front fee plus £99 a year to view the league table of graded coins

I reckon its cheaper to buy them already graded then :D

CGS was a great idea and would have been a great success and a godsend to collectors in this country, if only they had gone about it in a professional way like the 2 US graders. Instead it was run by vested interests and didn't achieve it's potential. Now it's just a laughing stock.

What are your expectations from NGC?  Do you only want them graded if its a certain grade or higher?

Wow that's an old photo, the Pandas and Mongolian coins received mostly PF70 and MS70... A few coins ended up with MS69, but only a couple... You have to be really picky about which coins you send to NGC if you want an MS70 grade... Otherwise older coins don't expect over an MS65 for pre 1960...
