Hello everyone

Just wanted to know if anyone can tell me of any websites with information about Pamp Suisse?

I recently started a large collection of their silver ingots/bars and ive been trying to find fan sites, back catalogues etc but having a struggle?

Im extremely happy as I've managed to find a 1/4 ounce ingot that's number 000008 of an alleged 100 worldwide.

It's given me the Pamp bug even more now lol

There's one on eBay. They might know something?

Best place to start is with the pamp website.  Then you will need to search the archives of old gold and silver forum posts for previous catalogs.

I myself searched for days for information on these bars and the problem I found is that historic information is hard to find.  There have been so many different minting runs for the fortuna bars with various types of packaging ranging from clear plastic to assay cards and now VERISCAN technology.

From what I have seen, you can tell an early strike fortuna bar by the details in the coinage of the cornocopia basket. The new bars have a round coin, but the older style ones have a round coin with raised texture to them.  Overall the strike and image of the fortuna is a more classic design in the older bars.

in contacting pamp directly, they were very nice in responding to my inquires but they were very unhelpful in that I do not think they understand that there is this fan base of collectors out there who rely on them to provide information. At the end of the day they are just a bullion manufacturer who wants to make profit and couldn't care less about collectors. I may be a little pissed off because they have products listed on there website and there catalog which they stated to me they were not making any more.

Because of my inquiries to them they even removed the 8 gram pamp gold fortuna bar from their products page on there website.

Anyway, I guess this is what makes collecting fun and frustrating.  My collection is one bar (two bars if you count the 8 gm) from being complete and it is all up to me to get it.

Another good source is just to search all the eBay sites and websites just to look at all the different pamp bars people are selling etc.

i will look in my archives to see what I have
