I'm sure it'll look exactly like every other sovereign for the past few years, except with a little 200 privy mark on it.

I would be more impressed if the went back to the finish of the early Elizabeth coins. They are too bland and shiny these days, lumps of gold, not really collectable in my eyes.

First privy mark sovereign? As it's a 200 year anniversary I don't mind the privy mark as long as the mint doesn't start a trend with any other anniversary to come.

At least this makes owning the 2017 proof more desirable.

Well its got some potential up side at least

i think you are right, but in short term people will trying to get them and it will bring good return

309.95 euros so 260gbp as of typing (add shipping) so about the same.

I will pick up the 2017 bu of course - why now. It is a bullion sov. What's not to like and regular prices. RoyalMint have them at their normal markings so nothing special re premium and with free UK delivery. Should be able to pick them up for bullion easily in the secondary.

Where are people getting them from? Looked at goldline, atkinsons and chards am I missing anywhere where they are cheaper?
