Just bought my second RM 1oz Lunar Rooster taking advantage of the Island Stamps and Coins Black Friday discount, question is do I open it to check it's OK or just leave it unopened and sealed in the mint packaging.  I opened the first one as I wanted to check it out but this one I don't need to so whats the usual proceedure, trust it is OK or open it an make sure.

If a buyer in the future opens it and finds a problem and contacts you what would your response be?

It's not blister or glue sealed so I don't see why you shouldn't/can't open it to have a quick look.  If it can be opened, always check before storage.

I always check and put it back how it was. Only thing I never do is open capsule

Fair enough, I will just open it up to check, it's only heat sealed polythene.

some people regard and will pay a premium for RM sealed, unopened proof sovereigns. Don't see it myself; as HH says above, what if there is a problem with it?

I've got unopened and completely sealed sovereigns but I regard them as a safer bet because I know they won't be spotted, with the silver you just never know.
