Can you imagine what this guy is thinking to himself right now ?

This is a city that would sell its own grandmother for a couple of bucks.....one small reward offered and this guy is toast if it is even needed.

The flakes are probably like the pieces that are collected by panning, unless somebody knows different.

The bloke is probably now melting the pieces into small bars so as to get rid of it slowly without raising suspicion. Selling them off in different areas and probably sending his wife out to do it would be the only way he could get away with it, if he's even married.

I bet there are pictures up of him all over the place, especially in jewellery stores and pawnbrokers.

A tip to police indicated the suspect may be hiding out in Miami or possibly Orlando, New York television stations reported

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-fl-ap-new-york-gold-thief-florida-new-york--police-in-new-york-city-are-loo-20161201-story.html

Follow the trail of gold flakes he has probably had to give out to keep people from dobbing him in or to pay his way and when they run out, time will be up. If he has buried the lot and gets caught, his time in prison will make for an interesting life experience. :o Effectively though, he is already in a prison of his own making.

Wonder who will get the book/film rights ?
