Hi guys

I want to start buying fractional gold to keep adding too every month over the next 20 or so years.

Im torn between either fractional 5g bars or sovereigns.

Not looking for collecter value but more for resale in many years to come.

or should I buy a mixture of both?

given the same premiums, bullion half sovereigns are

arguably better than full sovereigns due to their

smaller unit size. halves are usually more worn and

thus likely only a bullion play. full sovereigns have

also a possible numismatic premium. hgm should

pay the same gold value on lightly worn coins

within reason.

anything that passes the old standard should be good

for bullion.

Personally, in fractionals, l like government issued, just because they are more recognizable and easier for resale.  So, to answer your particular question. I would go with sovereigns. If you also like to collect, go with some bars you like to break the trap of only buying one particular coin and keep you interested.
