Looks like someone just bought all the preowned sovs, i think there were a few hundred pre-owned items there, now only 36?

I don't understand why people buy as the price spikes in such volume, is there some psychology that causes this behaviour, when its been possible to buy them cheaper for months :D

Take you pick of any number of reasons

Someone things they will be 10% higher in value by the end of the year ? and will happily cash them in then for a 10% gain on his investment

Someone might have retired and got a lump sum of cash

Someone has had a £25 lucky 63 bet come in with all winners, and doesn't want to loose it back gambling

Someone has slipped on the loose step outside the dole office and copped £25k compensation from the council

Someone has copped a packet in a juicy divorce settlement

Someone has been given weeks to live and wants an asset to pass on to their grandchildren without big government poking their nose into his affairs

Buying little and often is my rule

Someone has lost the plot

:D

Sure, a few months later we may be at 1100, but its just odd to take a upwards spike as a buying signal

Yeah it is a little odds and wouldn't be the way i would do it.

A good read is the book "The Madness of Crowds "  it certainly isn't anything new

Why didn't all us super astute silver and gold experts here back up the truck last year at sub £700oz myself included because we were moaning and groaning how it had been hammered down continually for all of that year wishing we hadn't even boarded the gold choo-choo train, how we were down on investments

If someone had posted i see gold will be 30% higher in a years time for reasons x y z would you do it would you believe it ?

We only ever think it is "NOW" o'clock, and seem to forget the past and dont know the future - hindsight

...sub £700oz :(

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

"There is no such thing as public money, there is only taxpayers' money"

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live.
