A small stack is safe to keep at home, but when and if it gets to a considerable size then I would consider using a safe deposit box (only for gold, silver is too expensive to store like this).

Though this could just as easily get broken into (by the police) as they have raided safe deposit box locations in the UK before and if your box happens to get opened and the contents nabbed by the police then you might have a hard time getting it back as you will have to prove to them that your just an honest working guy and you paid for everything and not a super criminal.

Problem with burying is that it's no so accessible.

'Problem with burying is that it's not so accessible'. That's the whole point.

Incidentally, there have been two major bullion thefts in Brisbane recently. Makes you wonder if the thief had sold bullion privately to the two

victims so got to know their addresses. Who knows.

I've got it sussed kept the stack to a manageable size! say 10ozs then split the stack into two.

Store 5ozs in each of your trouser pockets.

It will save a small fortune on buying a safe but just be carefull where you take your trousers off!

No but i think what the laptop needs is a large cold vodka and fresh orange juice to cool it down it's quite old now and the coal fired turn the handle thingy is really hot.

I could sell my jank silver and i would be nearly half way to a new laptop but shhh! don't tell the old one!

Not a bad safe for the money. However it will not stop a determined thief with the right equipment such as a power saw. Bear that in mind.

Still wanna buy that safe?

I'm not sure that that's exactly the same safe as the Phoenix one, it looks terribly thin and no better than the one Shamatti posted pictures of. The person cutting into it attacks the weak underside as well, making his job slightly easier. The video underlines the fact that if you get a safe, it needs to be decent with thick walls; 1-2mm does not offer any protection against power tools at all, and you should fit it somewhere where the back and sides aren't vulnerable so its as awkward to attack as possible and the door is the only exposed part. It is usually the thickest and best protected part of the safe.

I've got an idea.

Melt down all your coins and cast them into the shape of a safe.

For added amusement keep some fake coins inside in case they get it open.

HH, you are a flawed genius.

You are pretty good at that lateral thinking.
