Goldsilver.BE returning damaged item

Recommended Posts

I've stated before they were always good for me,  but the problems with them using a second rate delivery service has bitten me.

But hopefully this is being sorted. However Slowly!

This case re the thread was a very simple sort out though, and company's should know if you fail on the the simple things then you may encounter backlash. Its an easy fix and still could be fixed with a small amount of tongue biting.

As a small trader I would or replaced the item. The cost to Goldsilver would be minimum to keep returning customers. Simple business reallly.

I completely agree with you SilverStan. I would 100% refund or replace one of my bars if the customer was unsatisfied.

I have an order due for delivery today or tomorrow from Goldsilver.be - I will do an unboxing video and post a link here. Lets see how they do!

For me it's not the fact that they failed to deliver something perfect. That happens all the time. 500 orders may unbox perfectly. I have done 1 order with them and had no complaints but to me at least the way they deal with complaints is alarming and extremely short sighted. Bad business ultimately and less quality choices for all of us.

I have just read this thread, I did have problems with bullionbypost the coin was delivered to the wrong address, they sent the coin out sign for not special delivery what i paid for.  I got my money back through Ebay only after the post office GPS proved it was sent to the wrong address and Bullionbypost kept quiet until the post office got in touch with me 2 days after they had informed them, I had to escalate on Ebay and they could not trade for a few hours only then did I get my money back.

1 Were the item sents through the courier correctly labeled Silver coins!  (STG always send correctly) and fully insured.

2 Put a photo of the said coin on the site so forum members can see how bad the damage is.

3  email the Perth mint with a friendly letter and photo and ask them for advise.

4  How did you pay?  if you paid with credit card claim against them.

5 If the seller has sent them correctly not damaged then what condition was the box in when it was delivered, was it damaged, did you sign it not checked.

6 If you were only buying bullion then you would of just bought the cheapest on the site!!!!!!!

Paid by BT

The box was undamaged and labelled medical supplies; the other contents were fine including another kilo coin, and several others.

Bellow is the photo I took of some of the damage with the coin still in the capsule as I did not think there would be any issue returning for a replacement.

The photo is not the clearest as it was difficult to get a perfect shot because of the capsule; but you can see the damage starting at the letter L in dollar and a piece missing from the rim I wanted them to see the condition straight out of the box.  So I contacted them within minutes of taking delivery and sent the photo. I offered additional photographs, of the other damage locations and marks my offer was ignored.

I now video all my deliveries of PM being opened.

Well i think you are to harsh!  If one has bad experiance with them why would you impale others to ignore them?! I ordered few times from them, always prompt, fast and good service!    I am sorry to hear that you got bad silver, but as i am concerend i will still buy from them!

No one is impaling anyone. Whatever that means.

One should not use fancy words that one does not understand.

You are entitled to post your experience with them. Good or bad.

In fact they encouraged it by email up until they removed there account from the review website.

Why should people only see good reviews when people have clearly had a bad experience.

They must have been pretty bad to get banned from eBay...

I am very grateful that the topic starter has shared there experience.

It helped me make my mind up if i would purchase from them again.

Well not my fault u dont understand it, look it up in dictionary :)

I agree with you, there should be positive and negative comments, that is why i posted in here. And you do as you wish, nobody can force you to order from them, like no one can force you not to order.

Oxford dictionary - impale

Transfix or pierce with a sharp instrument.

or

Display (a coat of arms) side by side with another on the same shield, separated by a vertical line.

Who is doing any of these things?

Not annoyed you posted a positive review. just annoyed you think someone is bring harsh for posting negative reviews.

This isn't North Korea you know. people are entitles to opinions. Unless your opinion is that someone shouldn't have an opinion.

I don't think anyone told you not to order from them.

Calm down guys! :)

@TheWhiteStuff you are correct, personal opinions are an entitlement.

Please consider that English is not DeusB's native language. I think, in Slovenian, 'impale' means to influence or encourage.

To be fair, his English is very good, yes? How is your Slovenian?! :P

Wow, this has put me off gold silver.be a bit. I've spent about €6000 in three orders with them and so far I haven't had any apparent problems, although I have to say I didn't go that far in checking every single ounce. All boxes were perfectly made, probably even better than silver to go.

I used to live in the Netherlands and there I learned that the Belgians have a reputation for very bad customer service, so this episode doesn't shock me at all.

I'd probably make my next order, if any, with stg.

In the meantime I advice the OP to start a European small claim court procedure. Even only mentioning this to them should make their minds up:

At this point you have nothing to lose. Let us know how this develops.

This has also put me off them a little also. I'll be ready to do my order when the new elephants are released. I have had 4-5 shipping's from goldsilver and 2 had mixed up years. I might just go STG this one and pay a wee bit extra, only thing is they dont have the 2oz roaster in stock.

Make new friends but keep the old.

One is silver and the other gold

Wasn't there a post earlier on about a damaged koala kilo coin? Was it from gold silver.be or stg?

I start thinking the Aussie mint might be the culprit. Of course it doesn't excuse the dealer's shocking customer service.

Glad to see your order was delivered in good condition.  The jiffy bags are a new addition.

Like I said in my earlier posts the other 52 coins I bought were perfect, it was one of the 600+ kilo coins ordered.

Goldsiver.BE customer service was nice and very professional. Until I received the damaged kilo and straight away they said it was impossible to receive a damaged item, and to have a nice day. Even though the coin cost me over 600. It was not damaged in shipping as it was in a capsule.

You would expect good customer service not basically told to go and do one, when you have spent 2600 in under four weeks with GOLDSILVER.BE

It seems like everything is sweet, until something goes wrong. Is it worth the risk that’s what people need to consider.

  • 1 year later...

Just seen this thread from a while ago! I have just experienced the worst customer service from them . I have posted details on the gold thread about it but it’s interesting they have acted badly towards customers before . The way I was spoken to be someone called Eva was disgusting
