oh yes my new must have collection. Just gotta love "Limited edition presentation of just 20, the most exclusive coin in the range".

I think I'll have to sell everything else I have.

From a personal level, I am delighted the dates are different. It makes the 1/4oz bu gold lion even more required to make the full year set and thanks to a collaboration with @Numistacker he and I are only 2 of 35 people on the planet that have MS70 2016 1/4ozs. I think there is one other fella on this site who has bought one already graded MS70.

On a really really long term view (25 years plus and on into the future...i.e. our grandchildren great grandchildren etc etc) different dates for the first bu and proofs will be seen as an interesting quirk of the series and a point of history

Reposting here what I put on the ¼ ounce gold Queen's Beast Lion thread:

Just wanted to say that Atkinsons has some more ¼ Oz t Lion Queen's Beast on their website. I spotted them last week, they reverted to out-of-stock over the weekend, but got a phone call yesterday from them telling me they were back on sale.

Yes, I have bought mine before telling you, and no, I am not ashamed.B)

i have been watching Hatton Garden Metal's stock page very closely. Items are appearing and then getting sold in minutes. I saw a US $10 gold piece and before i could get it, it was gone.

i get the impression that at the current prices people are grabbing everything they have.

Atkinson's are similar.

This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. People have decided that gold is underpriced when sold anywhere near spot and they should grab what they can now.

I saw some sovereigns on last night, said 10 in stock now all gone,  when i just looked a 1oz maple was about £15 over spot price !

There is nothing at all for sale at the moment. Not even one silver coin.

The price is the paper price which is apparently below the cost of production for many miners. People who are selling perhaps have to sell and so have to accept the price on offer, even if it is poor value for a seller.

Buyers are then snapping coins up. Well this is how i see it.

Prices are still well above preBrexit prices though so not such great value compared to what we were buying at 6 months ago and before.

I'm not sure it will ever drop down to the £800 mark again, id like it to though

Never say never.  The £700 mark of just over a year ago would be nicer. :)

Id love to buy a tube of the 2017 bullion sovereign, if it went back to £700 it would almost be wrong not to
