A small discount of young head sovereigns.

https://www.atsbullion.com/sovereigns/1871-1887-victoria-young-head-sovereign-st-george-reverse/#.Wm49UeanyhA

Some other years also discounted

Edit: maybe only worth it for larger orders, single price cheaper at Atkinson’s though

Baird are good for these, although postage is not included.

you’re right they are good prices for the older years.

I went to a pawn (note the spelling people!) shop at the weekend. No flies on these guys they ramp up the prices of these older ones!

Emailed sharpspixley a week ago for dates and condition of the young heads and they haven't bothered to get in touch , obviously they don't want my custom B)

Is the profit margin so low it's not worth sending a member of staff to carefully read dates off a few coins on request? Or as they come in, on a notepad in the stock room.

I admit it must be tricky working with high value low margin items, but how hard can a bit of QC be?

As soon as it's not 'just bullion' those premiums aren't for nothing; put a bit of effort in. ^_^

Postage included and it maybe worth asking them if they price match other dealers.

All gone now. There were 4 in stock, I picked up 3. No indication of condition so might end up just bullion value but not a huge premium above spot so worth the risk. Cheers for the link @MickB

This is a dilemma I am trying to work out myself.

I advertise as bullion with no dates because I will sell for spot plus x. But then people will ask me about the years and the condition but I sell it as bullion. I could easily go through each coin and price individually but then people would complain that its just bullion. you can't win from the selling side.

For a hobby collector like me, dates are important for Sovereigns, as are mintmarks. :)

I try to build type collections and date-runs and I'll replace the coin if a better graded one comes along.

It's always worth listing dates IMO Shaun

Brought one of these over a week ago and still not posted. Pretty sure they don’t have it in stock. This has happened before and the refund money after two weeks.

Just a heads up guys.

Hi buddy. Did Londongoldbullion eventually deliver? How long did it take from order to your door?

Atkinsons have a few 1/4 gold proof coins

https://atkinsonsbullion.com/pre-owned/gold/pre-owned-gold-coins/pre-owned-2015-australian-1-4oz-koala-gold-coin

I'm sure the Koala is supposed to be proof.  Description seems a little off with a cut and paste.  8% over spot but be careful as they could be "proof design" which is used by Atkinsons for proof coins which have been handled/maked etc.  No idea if any come with original boxes but since it's not shown, take it as a no.

The other 2 of which one is definitely listed as "proof design"
