Just wondered if any1 else buys copper rounds? And if so where from?  I've been buying a few lately  just so I can buy something and curb my pm spending while saving for something bigger. Do you think they'll b worth it?.

I don't know what they sell for but I suspect they are well over spot.

How about looking for cartwheel pennies/two pennies or just the old Victorian pennies.  Postage will be an issue if buying a load so maybe look local.

I don't know the scrap value off hand but here are the compositions.

If you're kind of collecting copper rounds I have a zombucks walker you can have for £1 posted. I think it's a walker, not at home to check.

if you want copper coins i have over 10kg of them if you are interested.

Im just picking them up as buying fix while I save for some gold.  I think 10kg would hit that a bit too much but thank u.

Currently spot for copper means that a copper post decimal 1p coin is worth 1.24p, and a pre decimal copper 1d coin is worth 3.29p.

Just got to wait for a law change that allows us to scrap old coins :)

The 1797 cartwheel pennies are worth about 10.4p at spot.

I thought the 1d coins should be OK to scrap currently.

At least the cartwheels are collectable as numismatics.

For cheap buying fixes I think the best bet is pre47 silver.
