Would you keep this error Buffalo?

Hi all, I'm wondering if I can get your opinion.

I recently purchased this 1oz gold Buffalo and realized there was a problem when I couldn't get its air-tite to close. The coin is lopsided! One side is thin, the other very thick. I weighed it and it seems to be accurate, but i'm pretty annoyed the capsule won't completely close.

I'm not familiar with this kind of error. Is it common? Is this coin worth any more because of it? I'm very tempted to exchange it for a pristine one.

What would you do?

Jay

Depends on your stratedgy,if it was bought for bullion weight no worries its just gold, but if you bought it as part of a collection and lets face it,it is a lovley looking round, i would change it if there is a possibilty of doing so.

All depends on your stack, bullion keep, collection trade for another.

If it annoys you change it, if not keep it, some daft collector may pay a premium for it in years to come, you never know. It will always be an Oz of gold.

I'd try and sell it as an error coin first. How long do you have to return?

Shame it's not one of the more "widely collected" coins. I reckon you'd have made a few quid if it was a PM lunar or Britannia.

Can't see people getting excited over an error buffalo, but you never know.
