Where to buy gold coins in cash in central Birmingham?

Hi,

I live in the West Midlands and I work in central Birmingham.

I'd like to buy maybe 2 or 3 ounces of gold in cash.

Atkinson's of Sutton Coldfield have by far the best prices, but it would take me too long to get there and then go back to the city centre.

Last time I was at the Jewellery quarter, prices were not very competitive.

So, in a nutshell, is there alternative to Atkinson's?

Thanks.

have used these a couple of times but they are a little dearer than normal, if it saves you £50-£60 I would just sooner order them from Hatton Garden Metals and pay cash in their account over counter at HSBC or wait til weekend and visit Atkinsons.

£50-£60 is an extra couple of grams for the stack

Well apparently now the premium on physical gold has skyrocketed. Atkinsons, usually the best prices, sell 1 ounces for £1008, over £75 over spot! Buying just after the referendum might not be a good idea. But silver is still affordable.

Have you tried the gold bullion dealer?

Which one? There are tons in the jewellery quarter.
