Just got my delivery at work :D

2x of each of the 1999, 2001, 2005 and 2007, all in excellent condition, in caps except 1x 2007 in OMP and will move these fine ladies in Quadrums caps when I get home. The 1999 queen seemed to be cleaned or seem to be covered in milkspots. Will have closer look when I get home.

Overall very pleased and owe you a pint indeed! Thanks HT!

Use a silver dip. Rinse and pat dry Works all the time for me. I use the lighthouse silver dip

I did hear that a hairdryer or compressed air canister or air line is great for drying to avoid scratches, might be worth a try for the true OCD collector!

How does the dip leave the highly polished bits? Always been wary of trying a dip for fear of how it would leave these.

As an aside, if you get some distilled water and do an extra rinse or two in this, after tap water, you should avoid drying marks without having to "pat" ot wipe dry.

Compressed air is useful too.

PS the first of my Nordfrim packages arrived today too, all good.

Mine have also arrived. Mixed capsules and 1 just in stamp bag. All coins are in perfect condition. 1999-2005 with 2 extra of each 2001&2005. Hopefully the 2nd order is here by the weekend. Was very happy this place sold quadrum caps.

Thank you Highland Tiger, great find and share :)

I got in on this as well but I hummed and hawed a bit too long and a couple of the coins went out of stock, I placed my order on the 4th but I have not heard a peep yet about it.  I'm liking what everyone else is getting however, I thought these might be a bashed around old discoloured coins but they look good.

I think a case and a date run could be a distinct possibility now.

I bought a few of the remaining dates today, that's 4 orders totalling 32 coins. Couldn't resist.

Received my 8 x 2007 today in capsules in stamp bags, not opened them to see the coins yet.

Also got a card so assume one of my other three orders is here too.

Good to be buying again though?! :D

For re-sale or collection?

Yeah Roy, it is actually. I missed it.

Up to about 825oz now.

Not sure on sale or hoard, I'll probably sell at some point to buy cheaper silver, boost the ounce count and help the average (maybe).

Once I have 100 x 1oz coins, I'll sell up for bigger 10oz or kilo coins.

It's tricky.. and that's why I didn't buy any of them.

I'm following your (and Paul's) advice and buying for as low as I can. It's not too difficult, just takes time.

These Brits are so lovely I didn't think I would be able part with them, so I closed the page and moved on. :)

To be fair, I did a stock take recently before I put some things into storage. Im on 222 ounces with 150 Pandas, 40 RM lunar horses and now 22 old school brits. I think Ive done ok. Plus I don't need the liquidity, if the **** hits the fan Ive other plans.

That average makes me wince!

I have gone for the high premium end of the spectrum, its eye watering high compared to that average [emoji33]

That's how I started too buddy, then I sold the lot at the right time and bought a lot, at an even better time.

Roy, I have modified my plan slightly, it's not all about buying the cheapest, it's about the buy / sell spread. If I can buy something for £19 that I know I can sell for £30 immediately, I'm all over it.

So I'll sell the small coins and buy loads of cheaper big ones.

That is the strategy I was intending on with longer timeframes...I guess time will tell :D

What?! You didn't tell me!!!  lol only joking

Flexibility and adaptability is the key. I'd still prefer 10 coins than a 10oz coin or bar though...which is good I guess, no competition!

No doubt Roy, so would I, but I quickly realised I needed to consider resale at the appropriate time.

This is why I bought cheap 10oz and 1kg coins that can be liquidated quicker and easier.

Plus, I don't feel particularly attached to the 10oz and 1kg coins like I did the 1oz coins, which will hopefully make things easier.

Time will tell [emoji1]

@oliversw5 Are you sure silver is a 'long term' investment?

Don't bite my head off!
