this was a staggering £18.40 per oz  with delivery and vat  but im trying to average down to £15

'A staggering £18.40 per oz'. I'm sure like myself, others on here will have a little giggle reading that.

Oh, the luxury of being new to this game now the metals are as cheap as chips. I've paid nearly double that for

an ounce of silver and others here would have paid almost three times that much for high premium stuff.

Congrats dude! Nice isn't it, little shiny lumps of insurance?! lol

As others have said - your current price per ounce is already enviable. Just buy stuff you like and enjoy it. There is more to life than pounds and pence.

Congratulations, keep the stacking up. If you commit to just a small but regular purchases you will find your stack grows in no time.

ok then can I average to £16 is that unreasonable

Depends what spot price is. The amount you buy and at what price, and the amount of silver you currently have.

I wouldn't really worry about your average cost per ounce. Just buy what is a good deal at the time, get the best deal you can, and try to reduce your purchase cost per ounce in each purchase. Not the cost per ounce of your total stack. Do it like this and providing spot stays the same or lower your average will eventually fall.

My average is around the £20 mark. So I wouldn't worry with yours.

Well said Shamatti, this is called the silver forum not silver stackers.People often start out as so called stackers then start to creep into semi numi and numi.

There are some stunning coins out there which will cost you well over £100 an ounce but if you like them buy them, there are always other like minded people who will buy if you need to sell.

But which ever route you go down, or  a bit of both it is an enjoyable addiction.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

Congrats to your first silver!

I payed 200£/oz as most for a single coin  :D

My average is about 27-28£/oz atm, and i still happy about it.

I do not plan to sell in the near future if ever, just enjoying my collection for now and keep adding to it.
