Foreign coin rummaging....,easy money!

Recommended Posts

While just checking my local charity shops for any silver or gold inadvertently donated (a rare event...), I did get offered a small bag of random foreign coins that someone had handed in today.  I could see a few US quarters, a 1€ coin and some Scandinavian currency - so I bought the lot for a grand sum of £9.

Turned out to be easy money - as there was plenty currently valid currency in there - in fact £4 worth of $, £5 of Danish Kroner, £3 of loonies and toonies from Canada, £2 worth of Norwegian kroner, £3 of Swiss francs, some nice South American coins (Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Brasil) as well as a couple of commerative collectibles I have put up on eBay (UK QE2 golden jubilee and a French 2005 medaille)

Will not mean early retirement ? But it is worth always looking out for opportunities....even if it's not PMs.
