Just purchased 2 X Caliper display stands + 2 glass domes to display my doubloons.

End result will look like this but works out a lot cheaper buying them separately (£14 for a dome shipped + £14 a clamp + £10 shipping from the US)

Very Sherlock Holmes-esque.

That looks excellent. A Gold coin Orary would be pretty neat.

Well, it's a slippery slope this collecting lark. Having originally bought some 2017 bullion sovereigns just to hold some gold, followed by a 2018 when eBay did the 20% offer, followed by some random mixed modern dates from Atkinsons, I suddenly found myself contemplating date runs!

So, just taken the opportunity with a couple of 2012s from HGM and as I was ordering thought I'd go for a lucky dip too.

I knew I shouldn't have started!!!!!!!

That's a quarter ounce of gold! Well just found out that RM is sending me a silver proof Black Bull as an "act of goodwill' for them taking 4 months to complete my order... Worth it?

I’ve been looking for a nice old wooden box to keep my stack in for a while.  Came across this yesterday which is just fantastic.  I can’t wait to get it!! It’s a Victorian jewellery box dating for 1860-1890 and has been professionally restored

Girls!

Profile picture with thanks to Carl Vernon
