If you know what you’re buying and what to pay then you’ll make money, I mentioned a few months back I sold a hammered gold piece and made 2k within 6 months, so it’s not to be sneezed at

Oh yeah that seemed like a great bit of business, but I assume a hammered gold coin would have a long rich history of established prices and sales

In planning for the completion of my EVII Sixpences (1902 - 1910), I've been on the look out for good examples of the harder to find rare 1904 and scarce 1905.  I was able to talk the seller down on this nice example of the 1904 6P in pretty decent condition based on general availability and the condition of those I have seen for sale.

Really stoked about this purchase...

A beautiful 1902 Half Crown

The grey-scale toning on this 1900 Florin's reverse is mesmerizing.

The other elusive EVII Sixpence, the 1905, in good condition with an even gunmetal tone.

'jammy git' might suffice?

He may have married into the Chard family? :P

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

Are you sure purchase is the correct word and you haven't been raiding bank vaults or making offers collectors can't refuse? :)

You must have numerous copies of all the more common dates by now?

i put an order in with BYB for some Christmas goodies my mother wanted. Here are the freshly poured beauties. The pirate rounds are not antiqued yet. One is marked C and the other T for the recipients. Really pleased.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.
