Very nice, they look great. I guess you went to the right place!

My 1909 is currently at NGC thanks to Numistacker.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback SilverTanner. It's definitely a bonus to get a kind word from the Forum's King of 6P! :) I look forward to seeing the results from your NGC submission.

Queens Beast PF70 5oz Silver Lion. It can join my Unicorn, which still needs grading.

Takes a bit the fun out of returning substandard coins to the mint and then hoping for a good grade for the one you keep; but this one cost me less than new from the mint (!)

5 OZ? I guess you mean 10 OZ?

Somalian Elephant and a Unicorn.

That favourite dealer of yours is doing quite a turnover with all those ounces he is selling you.

Do you know when the next ounce is due? He told me end of the month/beginning of the next some more African gold is inbound...

Only my 2nd purchase from them. He had last week 100 2010 Kangaroos and they are all gone ?

Is that silver high relief or gold coins?

If we're talking about the Dog, I hear it'll be around shortly ?

I guess after 100 roos you have a more direct line ?

Bought two 1/2oz .999 gold Official Belgian Medals minted by the Belgian Royal Mint today.  Just below spot, in original blister.

1) Commemoration of King Baudouin I, Year 1993, mintage 12621 pcs

2) Crowning of King Albert I, Year 1993, mintage 6031 pcs

Also in the same deal 2 times the silver medals (below spot) and 2 times the bronze medals. All in original blister.

Pictures will follow...

BTW: what do you think about coins/medals in blister.  I like the coins far more without the blister, but you lose numismatic value.  For these I paid below spot, so I shouldn't have to worry to much about getting them out of the blisters, but the second piece has same numastic value on top.

The silver proof beasts come in 1oz, 5oz, 10oz and 1kg. 5oz has the same diameter as 10oz, so,  since they are only different in thickness, I stick to the cheaper 5oz.

Aha! Again something i learned! Thank you! Very nice piece by the way! Congratulations! :)

Did some reseach as I just sent off a boat load of coins for grading (should be back sometime in December, so I thought I'd do a little research. Went to the ebay store, click add to cart, clicked continue to go to paypal link, clicked continue (having waited to see if i actually really wanted it) and wham, I had bought it ! lol...accidentally wanted and bought it you could say !

Are there any common or garden variety stackers still around? Or have you all progressed to slabbed numismatic collecting snobs?

I only ask because, well because basic silver is very cheap at the moment, but judging by the posts on this thread nobody gets excited unless it comes in a case and has a mintage in single figures..

(I just bought my monthly 20-something ounces of boring silver FWIW).

I stack and collect. So yes.

They have different strategies but I aim to have 2500 governmental coins by April.

** Also a lot of people who buy from me buy purely just governmental coins. Some by the coin some by the tube.

Buy bullion silver to pay my builder with.  Stack gold, any gold - don't care where it's from; in fact, to tell the truth, I'm a complete slut when it comes to (cheap) gold ?
