i may have made a newbie proof buyer mistake though the listing was described as slight toning on the 1/20 th coin and a tiny mark on the rhs of box   possibly shouldnt have gone for this one  and waited for a better example   but for £70 delivered i thought the things werent that important to me  i was going to give it to my grandaughter for her 1st birthday

2 x 2016 Full sovereigns to go with my 1oz Queens beast I purchased on Monday. Go gold!!

A bit peeved that Atkinsons was showing the beasts as in stock but when I contacted them today to find out where it was they said supply issues meant they wouldn't receive them until the end of this week or early next week. Could have saved myself some money with the way the price has dropped since. Even the sovereigns I purchased today haven't been dispatched and it was meant to be next day delivery. Perhaps now I am in my late 30s I am just getting a bit moany!!

I would be more than peeved. I would be cancelling the order and going elsewhere. Wait till next week, you may even pick up an additional half sov for the same fiat.

5 Full Sovereigns from HGM,

hope they were in better condition than mine.

been buying a lot from Atkinson recently, all nice coins.Thought id spread the love and ordered from HGM taking advantage of the drop to 2% this week.

never seen such grubby sovs in my life, hopefully after a trip in the ultrasonic at work next week they will be more appealing.

Nice looking sovereign. If anyone's deliberating whether to go to the London Coin Fair, I would recommend it. I really like it and have picked up some bargains there. I can't go this time but would if I could.

The seller said it was the best he had this week and he thought it would have made more. I am happy to have such a beautiful coin.

Shame it's not a '83M however in that grade it would have cost you a lot more.

Fair price IMO. What do you think, MS62 or 63?

I think maybe 62 * for great eye appeal

Bought one from Apmex..£218 less 4.4% topcashback plus 2180 nectar points about £10 so £19 off plus 218 membership miles I think maybe £199 not brilliant but could resell on eBay and break even ))

Today I bought..........................well it got a bit confusing, as I got 4.4% from Topcashback, 10x nectar points, and then I found out I had a 5% voucher from ebay, (buggered if I know where that came from).

Anyway I bought a load of sterling silver spoons and forks, (including a rare Glasgow silver spoon, well chuffed no one spotted that, as its worth almost 3 times what i paid for it), They totaled 17.6 ozt and cost about £10.45 an ounce delivered, and that is without my cashback or my hundreds of nectar points or my 0.5% credit card cash back. So if I chuck in those then I probably ended up paying about £9.90 an ounce.

Sadly I've gone into next months budget, but then what can you do ;)

Are you sorting the stock? I mean, does the Glasgow spoon go for resale or melt? Is there a collector base? Interesting angle.
