No the case is used and I think a bit old. I need to replace some of the felt. There are absolutely no marking on the outside but on the inside of the casing it says: " MICHAEL PFEIFFER NUMISMATIC munches w-Germany". So the fact that it's 'west' Germany makes it at least from the 80s. I really like it too. Not secure in any sense against a thief with a screwdriver who could just pry it open but you can't nonchalantly open it if you were just snooping around a friends house.

Today I bought, 1 x 1977 GB Silver Proof Jubilee Crown (25p), and 1 x 1996 GB Silver Proof Queens Birthday £5 coin. Both in capsules and presentation boxes, after a bit of haggling, for the grand total of £12 each. Got them at the giant Flea Market at Malvern Three counties Showground today. Think I got a bargain here.
