@HelpingHands The world coin thread has hardly been overwhelmed with photos,so I don't see much point in starting more photo threads.

I think the world coins thread isn't popular because its too vague.  It may encourage people to post all of their eg. Mexican coins if there was a thread more relevant.

@morezone loving those chinese medals , any suggestions on where to look for these ?

http://www.luckpawnshop.com/ is where most of mine have come from.  Also eBay.com but you're also paying towards the fees.

Taobao.com has the most extensive range since 90% of the stuff never leaves China/unknown to the west but the language barrier is a nightmare and probably would require a shipping forwarder in most cases.

Straight into the pot

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

"There is no such thing as public money, there is only taxpayers' money"

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live.

Straight into the pot

surprised that they got away with making that coin.

That's why it's so valuable, it's so powerful and micro mintage

i will have some for sale soon with low numbered COA

The yanks may think it's valuable or powerful but us in the UK couldn't really give two hoots for it. 99.9999999% of the UK population won't even know who he is. And an even smaller percentage won't know the stories behind the coin.

Micro mintage or not it'll go the way of most rounds. Very expensive and hard to shift for a profit.
