In terms of what to buy - limited choice. Just cannot deal with the obverse of the modern Canadian Maples..., so that leaves the American Eagle (bit ugly), the Philharmonic, the platypus (cute - but hard to work out which end is which) , or my preferred target now - the IOM noble. Think it will be the Noble.  What is everyone's favourite? Advice welcome. ?

Thanks for the advice guys! In the end - went for the IOM Noble, with a gold one also for comparison !?

Then - in a bit of an indulgence, I added in a Canadian Maple in palladium. OK - I have to eat humble pie about the QE2 side...but it's a "random year" selection, so with any luck I will get an older coin from 2005-2010. First piece of palladium - as I've seen the price drop in line with everything else.  Will get them next month.

There's always the Koala as well.  Been discontinued for a number of years but the design does vary each year.

Agreed @morezone/ looks like the koala and maybe the Somali wildlife series will be the only series that switch designs every year. I do have a platypus already, so it would be neat to get a representative set of the different countries. Especially at these prices, assuming they land -20%?

The Somali Elephant is only 1k mintage and has a huge premium to match.  Real shame it's not unlimited at bullion premium as I wouldn't mind one myself.

You guys who get to travel to the US on a regular basis are so lucky.
