should we be spreading the word

Recommended Posts

i see on many you tube clips re   shtf ,prepping, 2015/16 crash  gurus stating that everyone should know and rather than zombies waking up the day after your moneys stolen and capital controls come in , we should get the word out about whats coming

now im no expert so please im not trying to preach , but as i understand it

some years ago i think 2014 in the g20 summit most countries signed up for bail in documents , to take your money should the banking system go belly up

i think 11 other countries have been told they must sign the bail in documents before a deadline

i also understand that the money in the banks isnt your money and is the banks money until they choose to give it you back

i am also lead to believe that the £87000 bank guarantee isnt worth the paper its written on simply because there isnt enough money in the banking system to pay every uk resident £87000 should the shtf

and what you would get is a worthless piece of paper saying that in the future they will give you worthless bank stock to this value

with this in mind i wandered into a pork sandwich shop last week with a fraction of the story stating that the money in the staffs banks wasnt actually theirs  as its the banks ........shock horror .no one had ever heard of it  and moved on to say .do you want apple sauce with your sandwich love .....asleep no1

i then made an appointment with my local building society to move my isa from the co op bank , on asking why i wanted to move it i then went on to tell her i feared for my money in the co op  as they were a poor bank in the stress tests , and again im mentioned the g20 summit with bank bail ins ,..this member of staff hadnt a clue what i was talking about , and again i went on to tell her that the money in the bank wasnt hers, but was the banks and she went on to re assure me that they had a guarantee of £87000 in place so dont wory mr ,  i then joked that their guarantee was a joke ,   and all along she was clueless ,

so in summary  the building society staff had no idea of the g20 summit , no idea of the crisis, no idea of the bail ins

i ask you ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,is it our job to tell people

GET YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE BANKS

or shall we just let em order a pork sandwich ..........apple sauce sir

First let me say that your attempts to save the sandwich staff from the coming bail ins are admirable. However;

Out of all of my experiences trying to tell people about the rules of the game, the risks of holding money in the banks, the gamble that is having a bank account, ect have all been met with the same reaction (except on one occasion) - I am a paranoid conspiracy theorist.

Do not try to tell friends/work colleagues/strangers about the rules of the game unless they are someone that wants to know what's going on or indicates they are willing to listen. You have nothing to gain and reputation to lose by telling people about what may or may not happen to their money in the banks. Finance is a sensitive subject apparently. Like conversations about house prices, people only want to know when the conversation is about things going up and do not want to know what happens if xyz happens. It must be human nature.

The only person I have been able to 'wake up' by having a calm conversation (many many conversations over years in fact) has been my dad. lol. He used to be just like the sandwich staff. The other day he said 'do you know the UK debt is now 1.5 trillion?'. He is a dyslexic car mechanic so the fact he found that out is not only funny but bloody impressive and it took some serious effort on my part to get him interested at all in the state of the UK finances.

The general population of the UK do not want to know. So to be blunt - F*ck em. They will wake up when X-factor is interrupted by a live broadcast of David Cameron with a solemn face and a hard sell.

It is not worth it from your personal perspective to try to spread the message. The info is out there and the ones that want to find it will. The others don't want to know.

More apple sauce for me please.

I feel like with this sort of stuff you're either preaching to the choir or it falls on deaf ears

If people have an inquisitive mind they will stumble onto this sort of stuff themselves & thankfully with the internet there's more than enough resources (perhaps not all trustworthy) they can look up.

Craig is it a coincidence that my Google search top result was the 'Sheffield Forum'?

http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/archive/index.php/t-880435.html

funny you should mention sheff forum every time i have raised any type of subject on shtf scenario   the moderators have deleted the post just after going live or receiving 1 or 2 replies

You have very specialist shops in Sheffield by the sound of it. Is there a smoked applewood cheese and tomato sandwich shoppe there also? I may consider moving there, what could be better, that and snooker.

With the best will in world, Customer service employees, even in banks will not be paid very well and unlikely, like the vast majority of the population to be aware of how corrupt the banking system is. Like others have mentioned, it may be best to work slowly on your nearest and dearest and maybe the penny will finally drop. On this theme I am currently trying to encourage my Mother to withdraw her money she "invested" in a stock plan with the prudential. I only found out about it recently. Some sales person persuaded her to lock in 90% her savings in a 5 year deal in this toxic s***. Now I know the sales person will have covered his ass and went through the fcs risk sheet with himself! however there is no way my Mum knew what she was letting herself in for. Trying to make my Mum understand that, yes she may receive a 15% return when the policy matures! however there is more chance things will go pop in the 2 years it has to run and she will be lucky if left with 30% of the original investment.

The vast majority couldn't even envisage a world after cash, you

try to tell em but you either get blank expressions or outright derision.

I don't stress too much about it cos I know the likes of US will be ok

The Bank guarantee will be £75,000 from 1 Jan 2016.

In my personal experience, it isn't worth the hassle trying to educate the masses.

Where I used to work, the workforce consisted of about 700 people. Out of that lot there were about 5 I could discuss

the above mentioned topics.

Believe me, I did try. All I got was blank faces, utter disbelief, shaking of heads etc.

I'd love to see their faces, when the SHTF.

the figures mean nothing, ask yourself how many years

would it take for the government to give you back all

your money that it's guaranteeing? then ask yourself

how much of it's purchasing power will be left by that

time?

i ask you ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,is it our job to tell people

help those who are willing to help themselves.

It is pointless trying to explain things to the masses as you are taken about as seriously as someone who walks around town with a sandwich board declaring "the end of the world is nigh"

I was quite evangelical for a while about a financial collapse and even bought a generator!

Now I am just confused and sceptical of metal bugs and paper bugs.

I have now arrived back at my original reason for buying precious metals which is they are essential to the technological advancement of the human race and they are rare!
