Australia Lunar S2 2oz Colourised

Recommended Posts

So gents,

Where do these coloured coins come from? The Perth Mint?

Or are they aftermarket coloured?

Only reason I ask is I have been offered a 2oz mouse, but it's coloured. Are these worth anywhere near the non-coloured?

What are the mintage of the coloured?

Thanks

I'm with Chris on this on Danny Boy! Don't like 'em at all.

I understand that the perth mint have issued coloured coins, but there are many after market coins coming from Germany and Estonia (I think that is what I read....) Any how, not sure how that effects the premiums. Not sure how one would go about checking either.....

Perth mint did do a coloured 2oz mouse, but I'm with everyone else here don't buy one unless you are into coloured coins they make between £85 and £100, if you want the 2 oz mouse you'll have to stump up £270 plus to get the tasty one.

The mintage of the coloured mouse is 7621.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

I was just hatching a plan to buy one (been offered one for £60) and remove the colour somehow.

Shit idea I guess.

I reiterate, I don't want a coloured coin, I dislike them tremendously.

Hmmmm

Having looked a while, it seems like the colour is impossible to remove without completely destroying the coin.

Shame, I was hoping a quick acetone dip would see it done, apparently not.

Back to plan A.
