Talisman / Keyring Coin

I have been thinking about this for a while now, and Sham just mentioned it in another thread.

I have a nagging desire to drill a hole in a 2014 maple (you could use anything) and put it on my keys.

I'd love to see how it fairs, how it tones and scratches.

You could always carry one in your wallet or pocket though.

Anybody up for it? We could post deterioration pics to see who's gets ruined quickest.

Or am I just talking rubbish again?

I think I would rather solder a loop on or something like that. Always add to, rather then subtract from, that is my philosophy! Thing is I sold all but one of my maples, and I am keeping that pristine as part of my collection.

Maybe I should purchase a tube, solder loops on all of them and then attach key ring hoops and sell them on? Any takers?

When I worked in IT I used to use old computer RAM chips as a key ring. Just as an aside! lol

not a spectacular idea, the 1.5 oz polar bear i keep in my pocket is pretty bad, dinged up on two edges and scratched up like a bitch in a cathouse.

silver isn’t a tough metal. i guess thats why most coinage was 925, 900.

i guess it could work if your gentle.
