RCM Arctic Fox 1.5 oz - why so expensive ?

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the 34% premium on the Arctic Fox?

The Polar Bear was the first issued and is a great price per ounce.

The Fox however is 34% higher priced - buy why ?

I haven't found anyone cheaper than Aurinum and I am looking for a tube of 15 coins ( the RCM tube holds 15 only )

I'm trying to recall when the polars became available at Atkinsons last year.

I think they started as an exclusive somewhere or other at around 8000 coins then they went mint to order.

It might be better to hold out if you plan on anything over a coin or two.

Absolutely as I am not paying over the odds for the Fox.

The P.B. is a nice coin and when priced at Maple price / per oz is nice to have as it is chunky - the Yorkie analogue .

It is a weird one. Because of the price I have held back from stocking it. I give customers the chance to pre-order and I have had 1 taker since its release.

Pre-order at what price, if you don't mind me asking?

Don't forget this is a regular bullion coin and not a special issue or limited mintage.

The Bears are cheap and for sale everywhere.

When the 1 oz wildlife series was issued with 1,000,000 minted the first coin - Timber Wolf - quickly became sought after and prices shot up.

The rest of the series less so but the newer coins are always cheaper so it is a mystery why the Arctic Fox is priced higher than it's predecessor.

Not sure the mint would profiteer, more like a mafia middleman and dealers who bought early are stuck with selling at a high price to avoid loosing money.

Atkinsons, BullionbyPost, Silver-to-go, CoinInvest etc are not stocking so there must be a good reason.

Half a million is a moderately low mintage, and 1.5oz is not a usual size.

I'm surprised they haven't done better, but the TW didn't get popular until about the 4th coin release.

We will have to wait and see I guess. Just like with the falcons.
