Warning about Air Pollution

Recommended Posts

Anyone living in the SE of England who has a car or has ventured outdoors recently will be fully aware of the high air-pollution right now. Cars are coated in dust ( Sahara sand allegedly but I would add industrial nasties ) and the skies are very smoggy in parts with poor visibility. The air is full of nasty stuff that is BAD - very BAD !! for your precious shiny fine silver. My advice is, until the air is restored to 'clean', is keep your silver bagged, capsuled and contained until the pollution storm passes. Trapping SOx and NOx gases in your vault is not a good idea.

Must be on commission!!!

I'm not at all air tight, so I'll worry about the silver if any tarnishing happens.

Some people like it anyway.

Nothing worse than looking at a coal miner's lungs.

Some stackers rave about rainbow coloured coins - i.e technically rusted or corroded.

Same colours you will see if you dribble petrol onto a puddle of water in the road.

I bought a blackened Eagle in the USA and asked the dealer to dip it into acid for a few seconds.

Now I have a shiny silver coin rather than a disk of metal resembling charcoal black toast.
