The link from Chards puts it about right IMO, why would anyone buy a coin that doesn't state what purity it is?

They have the silver down as 22mm diameter by the looks of it.

Thinking about it the only way this could work would be if in 2016 the Panda coin went back to stating it purity, then in the future the 2015 coin will become more collectable.

It's a mistake. I had a typo for a few days on my table and they seem to have picked it up. The diameter is 40.00mm.

Is there any official statement why there is now purity and weight on the coin ?

Maybe the pics show not the real product ?

The pictures are the real thing and come straight from the China Gold Coin Incorporation, the issuer.

 

I can sort of understand the lack of weight given Chinese desire to move away from the ounce system, but the lack of composition is stupid, with consequences in countries like Australia and Canda.

Will definitely get the set in gold.

Not sure if anyone noticed. But the 2015 doesn't have the '1oz Ag .999' on it. Was that an error at the mint? Or will all future issues be like this.

Seems a bit silly to remove it to me, maybe it was an attempt to reduce forgeries.
