Do's any one out there collect themed silver,Themes like dogs, birds, cars, ships that sort of thing,if so have you got any pictures to show.

I know date runs and mints are popular themes, i like the look of Baird & Co's rounds,O.K. they are not limited but would look nice in a tray.

Hi SP

I do not directly collect anything themed but I do have themed collections, simply because my supplier had them a t a very good price.

I have a collection of bars which depict ships they weigh around 2.2 g each and there are 102 of them.

I also have lots of silver coins which reflect our Monarchy. There are around 200 of these some in a large folder, some are proofs etc.

Cheers

K

I have lots of kookaburra coins, which happen to be date runs and from the same mint... does that count as a theme. :)

I also have kangaroos, which are date runs and from another mint.

I must say though I have started collecting a lot of carded 1oz coins.  Currently I have Kangaroos, Koalas and Stock Horses.  So I guess 'carded coins' would count as a theme too.

Ah, I also have lots of different design 'Privy Mark' coins, so when you think of it, there are all sorts of theme groups to collect.

I collect coins with the queen on. Not on purpose, but just because she seems to be on every coin.

My posts are my personal opinions, they do not constitute advice or financial advice.

That's a nice set Motorbikz! I looked up the current market prices for the first series, and they are crazy! I think I am going to try to collect a set of the 2nd series before the prices on those become unrealistic.

Other than 10oz Perth Mint bars, 1oz rolls of Kooks and 1oz gold Perth Mint carticards which make up the bulk of my stack, I collect a few series just to add some variety. I collect the SBSS, SGB, Zombucks, SS XAG series and a few other bits and pieces that take my fancy.

Looks lovely SP.

Do we know how many are in the animal series?

Where you buy from, seems a reasonable price.

I got this from Sarnia Silver, they have the Peregrine falcon, the rabbit. and not technically a year of but the monarch of the Glen.

There is a Snake i have seen on Baird's web site which is very nice,

Baird also do i think it is the Indian faith rounds which look very cool, i am not sure if they make these or broker them.,

Channel island silver and Sarnia silver both sell Baird silver.
