without being clever, it depends on the quality of the coins submitted.;)

seriously though, I have found that guineas tend to do well at TPG grading.

yes I like them but they are difficult and expensive to get in good grade. Speaking of which, I can't seem to master the art of grading these things; they always get better grades at TPG than I think. There again, this seems a common theme with older, pre-1817 coins in general. I don't know whether they are more lenient. expectations aren't as high or top grade coins were relatively rubbish when newly minted. No idea about the latter point as I've never had my hands on any:P
