valuation of sovereigns

It has a nominal value of one pound sterling. As you say, legal tender.

so if we have to declare when travelling as each soverign has a nominal value of £1 if I was to take 5 through to an airport I would declare it as £5 is that correct?

loool, went on google got a few mixed reviews. If carrying under 10k it should be simple and straight forward anything over 10K of Euros is really going to down to the individuals luck and the boarder control guys. 

Im falling under the 10k bracket so not much to fear atm.
